A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you have a shared hosting with our company and you wish to activate the catch-all feature for a specific e-mailbox that you have in your hosting account, it will take literally only a single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name registered in your account. You can select one address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature right away, so all messages sent to misspelled addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button for a second time will disable the catch-all feature. If you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a warning notice and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature till you remove the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a Linux semi-dedicated plan with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate this functionality will be to click that icon. In the very same way you’ll be able to disable the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will let you know in case you’re trying to enable a second catch-all email address for a given domain or in case there’s enabled email forwarding, but it will never deactivate or modify anything automatically and without your consent.
